An Taisce
rebrand

CHALLENGE:

The vision of Ireland is where our environment, natural and built, is actively prioritised and a lasting legacy of sustainability and resilience is ensured. To maximise appreciation of the interdependence of all elements of the biosphere together with a greater awareness of the damaging impacts of human activity on fragile ecosystems and the built environment.

SOLUTION:

Create a design that is multi-functional and modular, and prioritises a sustainable approach to design and manufacturing. It is in keeping with the natural environments and adheres to best practices in national and international wayfinding.

The design solution arrived using a font based on lettering from an old Irish penny. The logo itself is reflective of the natural elements along with using photographs of all the beautiful sites and locations across the island of Ireland. I really wanted the look and feel to be evocative of contemporary Ireland.

This was a rebranding project for An Taisce a non-government organistion that protects and celebrates Ireland's natural and built environments for present and future generations, and aims to ensure Ireland leads the way in defending a liveable planet.

There vision is to have an Ireland where our environment, natural and built, is actively prioritised and a lasting legacy of sustainability and resilience is ensured.

STRATEGY:

It was clear from the outset that the design solution needed to be grounded in a strategic proposition that would unify each of the environmental organisation, taking into account the various nuances around tourism and ecological concerns, and equally align with each of the Park’s distinct landscapes and offers.
